I have a hankering for Koegel's beef franks, Mrs. Dog's mustard * cheese wrapped in crescent rolls. Should I do them directly on the pizza stone or on an aluminum pan on the pizza stone? Thanks! JCA

J Appledog,[p]Pizza stone definitely. Space the meal above the stone so as to not burn. If you invert the pan, give it some vent holes (slit and fold up openings in the sides of the pan) so heat from the pizza stone can escape and not build up.[p]Spin[p]

Spin,
Good idea; thanks! I may just use the regular oven. I'm really not in the mood for socks & a coat & falling snow. (And a Viking convection oven doesn't do a half bad job...). Julie

J Appledog,[p]I have been tring to think of that name of hot dog since I moved out of Flint (actually Grand Blanc) in 1981. They use to have a factory across from the Flint airport. They were kosher dogs, as I recall, but have never heard of them south of Michigan. I guess they are still around - they were good. I think Hormel use to own them then.[p]

J Appledog,
Sounds like something we used to call "Pigs in a Blanket" here in upstate NY. Did you do them inside or outside?

Big Daddy, Inside, along with some very unremarkable clam chowder. JCA
