Dale Benton,
I vote no, no I mean yes...no no is what I want,no maybe a yes will do, no I think yes is really a no.[p]
I have never brined a butt b-4 and the last butt I made
brought a proposal
-
Dale Benton,
I say NO! I did this and the butt tasted hammy and salty. It is too long of a cook and there is too much attention to this venture to have a dissapointing result. Stick with injections, rubs, and smoke.
-
ShortRib,
Actually, if you don't believe me, cut the butt in half and brine one half. That way, you are not left with a ton of ham.
-
ShortRib,
Thanks man.
I hope its not "too hammy"
I had to try it.
Maybee they will be ok.
I'll know next time.
Thanks,
Dale
