Hey Mike![p]It's terrific to have you back.[p]Cathy
-
da' Bear,[p]It has been far too long since I have seen a post from this handle. Although you were before my time, the excitement of seeing you post again is most welcome. I just hope the forum can handle 2 great cut-ups like yourself and King-O-Coals.[p]Welcome home Bear!
-
Bob, u meen he's like me????? YEEEEEEEEEHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
-
da' Bear, catch up quick. Go down the board a few feet and follow the results of my first attempt at brined chicken. I was coached by some mity good authorities here on the forum. They just forgot to tell me that the chicken of choice was not a 12 year old baking hen... HEeeeheee!
-
King-O-Coals,[p]da Bear goes way back to the early beginnings of this forum along wit JJ, Kenny G, Cat, Woody :~) and others who have been around for a long time. The contributions of these folks are the reason we have such a great forum and product today. I encourage everyone here to take time at some point and dig around in the archives of when this place came to be. There is some very interesting reading to be had there and I think much can be gained from that period of time. [p]I will let one of da Bear's more personal friends from those days do the honors of a proper introduction.

da' Bear, I reckon you can cook anywhere he darn well pleases. Welcome back!!
Yours in the egg--The Colonel
-
da' Bear,
Answer your phone sometime.
-
da' Bear, Well, jump up and slap my momma, about the time I thought ya really gave up on us, here ya come. Welcome back ya old sauce slinger!! Hope ya shaved since we saw ya last...Cheers..
Char-Woody
(And hope yer "Q" is still top notch!)
-
King-O-Coals, First ya gotta explain to da"Bear what a chicken is! Last I heard of him he was entertaining 3 little fire orphaned kittens! And be careful with the heeeee's, as I ripped that off from him way back when. If ya read this one Mike (da'Bears real name) I'm handing it back to ya! Take your heeeeee's and post em well..:-)

Bob, ya said it well! Even da"Bear will enjoy that one. Yup, he done have whiskers (slang for being around a long time) Only guy I know that had his first "clay cooker" demolished by a
! Mike can tell that one..:-)
-
da' Bear,[p]Mike! Welcome back! It's been quite a while. I hope you are well. Looking forward to seeing you around here again.[p]Brant
-
Brant,[p]My apoligies as I left your name out of my previous post in regards to old timers. For my error I will give you the first 3 month's rent free :~)
-
Bob,[p]Hey, no problem. The Witness Protection folks prefer it that way![p]Actually, if I am to be listed along those you mentioned, it is only because of the time I've had my Egg, not my cooking ability. I learned most of what I know today from them. Well, all of them except for Char-Woody, who started out as green as I when he got his Egg! :-) Ya'll know the story of how he got the name "Char-Woody"? It should still be deep in the Archives. Some fun reading back there.[p]Brant
-
da' Bear, glad to see your back! Its been awhile.
'later ChefrD.
-
Char-Woody,[p]Actually, if memory serves (which it probably doesn't), I think da'Bear's was "hehehehehe" or occationally "hahahaha". So, your long "heeeeeees" are still yours. Just don't let QNE Tyme hear you![p]Brant
-
Brant, SSSSSSsssshhh..I want everyone to think I am a pro!!
Smile, grimmace, squirm..allright..one more...heeeeeeee!
C~W[p]
-
Char-Woody,[p]Aw, you are a pro. I just remember them good ol' days and a crispy, blackened wild turkey! Just kidding with you.[p]Brant
-
Brant, That was one blackened sun of a gun!! All uphill from then on with the guidance of the "Q" chefs here! Even I am getting respect now around the house.
Roger Dangerfield the second here!!!! Cheers, C~W[p]
-
da' Bear,
Great to hear from ya, been too long. Unfortunatly my "up" feeling form hearing from one old friend is dampened by learning of the loss of another (Bill).
Welcome back you old goat. hehehe
-
Char-Woody,
That's Rodney, Woodsey, Rodney!
-
da' Bear,[p]Wow! We've sure missed you.... Welcome back. Julie
