    tember,
To bad you can't sort the user profiles by state. You could go through a chunk of the profiles each day, and email some folks. There might be several locals who have profiles, and eggs, that don't check the forum often. There should be quite a few bbq buddies down your way.[p]Good luck! Great idea to get in touch with other Qers.

  • tember, sort of a clique within a clique huh? but why would Greenville SC eggers not benefit from exposure to the whole board and vice versa. I can understand your wanting to know fellow eggers close by so as to have a get together etc. Oh well, never mind...

  • one feral kat,
agreed all can benefit from going to the board often, but what better way to get into the fold than drinking a beer with a group whose sole purpose in life is to cook on an egg. Certainly, in no way will any group be greater than the whole, yet helping those less vocal or who are less apt to try new techniques would be a good thing. IF we really get up and going we will buy the company and take over the world (in that order). That way no one will be allowed to cook on anything but an egg. Enjoy the freedom of cooking on your egg. All joking aside we should all get out there and eggucate our brothers who know not the joy of good food.[p]t

  • tember2, like the Army used to say "be all you can be"! Drawing people out isn't easy if they don't want to be - I have a neighbor who refuses to look at this board and still just uses his large for an open top grill for hamburgers, hot dogs and an occassional steak, unless he pan fries the steak instead! Go figure...

    Ain't that the truth!
I posted the other day looking for New England Eggers and had wonderful support from everyone that doesn't live up here! So, now I'll try another tack...I'll get up with the regional distributor and see how we can put together a New Eggland Fest maybe htat'll pull some of these ole' Yankees out of their shells like lobstahs![p]Carey
