Like RRP..I had a funky rivet in the top band..Started out at 4:15..uptown, got two self locking 8/64th nuts, and matching phillips head bolts in SSteel..cost me $0.85 cents. Drilled out the rivet and the matching rivet on the other side. Put in bolts..tightened self locking hex nuts to where the movement of the band felt good. Took bands into shop..Ground down the phillips heads to a thin flat surface. Replaced bands, with my still experimental "fix" to permanently eliminate a band slippage..and it took me about 40 minutes work time and a hour messing around..In the same period,,I checked my loinbacks..sauced em down with a new sauce called Razz B'Que or sumptin like that. If it tastes as good on the rib as off, I gotta winnah tonight...
Luck to ya on your bands..!!
