I bought ours as the family Christmas item.
I got it in October at the Festival.
I told my Grandson that it was the best investment I had ever made and he said, "Last year, you said the regulation size pool table was it." LOL
Oh well, another day, another dollar.

The pic looks good. I can also see that you have a new egg like me. My first butt cook took a lot longer than yours. I cooked my firt butt at around 225 degrees at the grate and it took 15.5 hours until my meat thermometer hit 195 degrees. What temp were you using to finish in 7 hours?

Lu-Lu'sEggcited, if as a ten-year old I had a Big Green Egg AND a regulation size pool table, I would thought I was the luckiest kid in the world. You're spoiling that kid. LOL But you bought them in the right order. If you had bought the BGE first, you would have never claimed the pool table to be the best investment you ever made. This way you could make the claim (honestly) on both.

you know what my bad i showed it before i actually pulled the posk and it didnt pull it was more like a roast and i only got the temp up to 170 so its one of those live and learn situation sorry mis lead anybody newbe egghead here...now understand about low abd slow i cooked mine at 250

I put a 6.3lb butt on last night, I just pulled it off the egg after 18 hours. It took that long to reach an internal temp of 195 cooking at about 225. I just didn't know if I was doing anything wrong.
