Freezing pulled port

edited November -1 in EggHead Forum
We are planning a graduation party for our son at the end of May. I would like to make several boston butts and freeze them (after the meat has been pulled). Have you done this, and how should I go about re-heating the meat???[p]Would appreciate a reply! Thanks...

    HelenR,
Put in freezer bags. When ready to serve nuke them for a few minutes on 30% power. Add sauce while reheating if you like. Taste like it just came of the EGG.

  • HelenR,[p] JJ gives you good advice. I vacuum pack the pork with my FoodSaver and freeze, then reheat it with the microwave, or just by putting the vacuum pack in boiling water. Sometimes I presauce it, other times I just add it after I heat the pork.[p]MikeO
