Cleaning the "glaze" on the cooker.

We all know that the surface of the egg is porous ao with that in mind what is a good cleaner for this purpose?[p]I bought my Egg early this winter so needless to say I havn`t givin it a exterior cleaning yet..
The green glaze is getting kind of dirty looking with soot and all...[p]Any ideas....windex or Mr Clean maybe?????[p]Mop!

Mop, I use a good citrus based cleaner and very fine steel wool.

Mop, Nope..I don't recall any scratches. You can use a fiber Chore-boy also! It's been a year or so since I cleaned mine to like new condition again. Due again when the weather warms up. I will do a complete cleaning, burn out, exterior cleaning and a new seal.
