Gasket fixes

Since I have two eggs (large and small) that have low spots that can't be corrected by re-aligning the top, I thought I would post a couple of fixes that have worked for me.

On the large. I just cleaned the gasket at the low spot, applied a bead of silicone sealant, placed waxed paper on it, and lowered the lid. The next day I removed the waxed paper, and it has worked fine for over a year.

The small just revealed itself after a Trex yesterday, and it was not snuffing itself very well after closing the dampers. I just took a 10" sheet of al foil and rolled it in about a 1" diameter. I then formed that to the diameter of the lid and placed it in the low spot. It worked amazingly well. It crushes to fill in the low spot and stays in place. It is so easy and works so well, I probably won't bother to fix the gasket on the small.
