What is the best way to roast garlic in the egg? And at what temperture sholuld it be done? Should I toss some in on a firebrick @ 350 degrees and watch it? OH No, did this turn into an ode to a firebrick! Thanks

Fireball:[p]I have done whole garlic just as you state for about one hour with good results. We break off individual cloves and spread as a paste on crackers.

I usually slice off the top of bulb, wrap in aluminium foil and pour on a little olive oil. At 350 an hour is plenty.
