Med BGE: is an 18 LB Turkey to large?

Hello,[p]I have never cooked a turkey before, and wanted to know if an 18 pound bird is to large for a Med BGE. I have a Turkey on order, and have time to go and get a smaller bird if need be.
I plan to use the plate setterdrip pan with a V rack.

    North_East, the product literature says 12-15 pounds. You can probably squeeze it in but it will be tight.

    I gots me a medium egg..and fittin such a large bird in there is gonna be titer then eetha a frogs ass..or maybe even a cows ass at fly time...I'll tell you what..you is gonna need a shoo horn an a can anna haff of grate green greasie gopher goop to get it in there..but why you is not keepin the big bird on order an usin it as an exqoose to get yerself a bigga egg is beyone me..maybe you isn't as smart as the stump....but nows yer chance to trade up..thats plane fer shure..[p]remember....a bird in the han is wurth five..but a han in the bush is wurth a hole lot more..least that wuz what my poppa usta say..and damned if that didn't make grampa shoot his wooden teeth clear cross the room when he done said it neetha...I miss grampa....seems like ages since I hadta duck his wooden teeth....once he said he wanted gramma to choke juss so he could giver her the hindlick manoova..that man new howta liv..I'll tell you what..sumtime yood be in the outhowse an yood here grampa behine the back singin.."whatevah it is I think I see.....becomes a tootsie roll to me"..an then yood here his woodin teeth chatterin when he was laffin....I miss them dayz..evin tho they wuz sumtimes creepee....may he rest in pees..[p]Stumpbaby

    <p />North_East,[p]This was a 14 lb bird and it just barely fit on my Medium - the trouble you will have is being able to close the dome around the wings and legs - like Wise One said, you may be able to squeeze, but I think it's going to be extremely tight.[p]Good luck,[p]TRex
