First St George, Utah Eggfest !! Got to start somewhere ..
Our local BGE dealer ... BBQ Hut of St George ... held our first Eggfest Friday and Saturday. Located in a large parking lot in front of their store, we got lots of visibility due to all-day concerts at neighboring piano store and normal heavy traffic at large furniture store.
Dealer sold 2 large EGGs, distributor from Denver came down to help, some local EGGrs came in to cook on 2 Lg BGEs. [p]I got up before 5:00am, prep'd my Country French Bread, dealer sold their last platesetter on Friday, had only a pizza stone, and burned the bottom crust thoroughly. Trimmed off the burned bottom, it looked great, tasted great, and it was served with small portions of pork loin from Friday's cook. Saturday we cooked some brisket, more pork loin, fatties (a first here in St George), and chicken wings.[p]Hey ... we had terrific weather (73*), it was a fun time, got some good exposure for BGE in the community, had good eats, and we can look forward to 2007![p]BBQ Hut of S.G. brought in 2 Small EGGs to display and three of us are likely to fight over them. Watch out Atlanta !! ... the St George Eggfest is on the map![p]Tom B (EggSport)

Tom B. (EggSport),[p]Now you can "BBQ Pioneer" to you resume Tom!![p]Congratulations!![p]Evans[p]PS...where is St.George?
I spent most of my money on good bourbon, and bad women...the rest, I just wasted!! -
Chubby,
Thanks for the encouragement! St George is in the extreme southwest corner of Utah, on I-15, just north of the Arizona border. Las Vegas is less than 2 hours easy drive when your longing for big city traffic and action gets the best of you.[p]Regards,
Tom B (EggSport)

Tom B. (EggSport), Had a wonderful time on Friday Everyone at BBQ Hut is so nice. Enjoyed pork loin, bread, and sausage cooked to perfection. What are fatties? I happened to be the culprit who bought the plate setter. Sorry about the burnt pizza! Looking forward to next year!![p]Grillin' ern

grillin' ern, Las Vegas,[p] Heard you were coming up .... sorry I missed you. [p] Picture a 'standard' 1 lb roll of Jimmy Dean ground pork sausage .... cover it with your favorite rub, OR open it up down the middle and stuff with jalapenos, mozzerella cheese, etc., and smoke along with other meats until 170*F internal temp. Good way to keep guests entertained until the brisket or pofk butt is done.[p]Tom B (EggSport)
