Eggtoberfest Dark Beer Brats

Unknown
edited November -1 in EggHead Forum
20 brats or so in pot – Cover with a dark brew – I used Becks Dark (drink all beer not used) – Add two sliced yellow onions – Bring to slow roll – Ease back on heat – Cook 15 or so minutes until brats turn a nice gray color – Careful not to overcook and cause the brats to split – Use tongs to move from beer to Egg – Cook with hot fire turning to get a good crust on the brats[p]Serve immediately [p]The use of a dark beer makes these brats different and tasty. . The more flavorful the beer, the more flavor in the brats[p]YB suggested I coat them with yellow mustard before moving to the Egg. He said that this would help get an even better crust – What about a dark mustard or a hot mustard[p]Enjoy
