Was wondering if anyone has used Fischer & Wieser Roasted Raspberry Chipotle Sauce on BB ribs???? I've used it on pork tenderloin but that was awhile ago. Costco had the 10Th anniversary 40oz. bottles so I picked one up the other day.[p]If anyone has used it on ribs at what point did you use it??? Marinate first, finishing sauce or????[p]Cheers,
Bordello

  • Bordello, I have a bottle of the Raspberry Chipotle Sauce in the fridge but not sure if it is also roasted. Use it like any bbq sauce, at the end on ribs. You might give it a taste test first, as it can be over powering with the heat for some. You can always use raspberry jelly to cut it. T

  • Bordello,
I've got a bottle in the frig. I keep saying I'm going to smear it on some meat but I always end up mix'n it with some cream cheese and serving it on crackers. DEE-licious.[p]Spring "Lick'n My Lips" Chicken

  • Bordello,[p] Definitely 'spicey stuff' I use at table as a dipping sauce for ribs or a very light finishing sauce just before pulling from BGE .... even then, not on all ribs, maybe 1/3.[p]Tom B (EggSport)

  • Bordello, I use that sauce a lot, in many variations. Yesterday I did about 5 lbs of Salmon, to wit: Smoked the Salmon @ about 150-160 w/pecan wood for 1 hr, at which point it was cooked...then basted it w/ a mixture of 2/3rds Raspberry Chipotle & 1/3rd worchestershire to thin out & give a bit of vinegar to the mix. Cranked the heat up to 350 deg (w/ a GURU) to make it glaze w/ great grill marks.... You can mix just about anything, incl mustard, etc. w/ that stuff, & put in on virtually any meat...good luck!

  • Bordello,
i use a recipe in paul kirk's book that i like with brisket. [p]i also like it as a dipping sauce for abt's or glazed on the abt's goes with the cream cheese...like the othersuggestions with crackers[p]
