Mulitple Pizzas
I have done many pizzas on the egg with great success. However, I'm usually only cooking for two so one pizza is always enough. This weekend I'm considering cooking for a larger crowd and it would require two pizzas. [p]I usually preheat my pizza stone on the plate setter. So, do I cook the second pizza on the same stone? Do I stack and preheat multiple pizza stones and remove the top one after cooking the first pizza? [p]I am thinking too much about this?

Victor Grund,
You preheat your stone, cook the first pie, remove teh first pie, cook the second pie, remove the second pie, repeat, lather, rinse, etc. LOL! You can cook the second pie on the same stone. Good luck![p]TNW

Haha. I found this link which, coincidentally I am sure, agrees with your advice.[p]http://www.nakedwhiz.com/pizza.htm[p]:)

Victor Grund,
Pizza for us is always a multiple pie cook. I normally cook 4-5 with no problems. Sometimes the first crust is a tad overdone.....due to the cook and I've had the last one take longer if I preheat for too long and the fire starts to go.

dhuffjr,
I agree. Each one may be done in different times. I always look in the top with a flashlight and pull when I think they are right.

Victor Grund,
Yes I too, have learned a lot from that page, lol![p]TNW

Victor Grund,[p]We cook multiple pizza's all the time. Assuming the stone is pre-heated (we don't use a stone, but rather just the plate setter), we have found that getting a wet rag and wiping the stone with it, helps to cool it just enough, and we never burn a crust. You might give it a try. We typically cook the pizzas at 450. Times vary with each pizza.[p]Regards,
