Guess That Eggessory Quiz ~Number 2~
thirdeye
Posts: 7,428
I got a real kick out of the answers and the to the first "Guess That Eggessory" I posted a couple of weeks ago. If you didn't see it, this was the picture I posted showing the gadget unassembled.[p]
[p]And after a couple of hours of guessing, with no winning guess, I posted the gadget assembled and in use.[p]
[p]In all fairness, I ground points on the upright leg of the nails after the first picture was taken, which may have helped in the answer. [p]Anywho, here is the deal: At 5:00 PM Mountain Time (about an hour from now) I'm going to post the unassembled picture of Eggessory #2 and the guessing shall begin. ONE guess per Egghead only. The first correct guess not only wins the Quiz, but will have the option to receive a prototype for field testing. Hopefully you will give some feedback to the "thirdeye R&D Department"[p]Just for the record, don't get any of my gadgets confused with the kind of items Lawn Ranger and other craftsman around here turn out. If their stuff is the Cadillic of BBQ accessories, mine is the Ford pickup. It is hobby quality, but built tough. I do use stainless steel, so it cleans up easily and is safe to be around food.[p]I'll be back in about an hour.

Nothing wrong with Ford Trucks.[p]Mike

thirdeye,
Gee, I don't know if we can trust you. I correctly guessed "wok ring" for that first one, and then you go and make it into a potato rack. :-)[p]TNW
The Naked Whiz -
thirdeye,
BUILT TOUGH,good job.

Okay, here we go. [p]This photograph shows the two pieces that when welded together will become Eggessory #2. All of the material is 1/4" diameter stainless steel. No other cutting, forming or grinding will be performed. [p]Remember, only ONE guess per Egghead.[p]Good Luck!

thirdeye, I would guess a grate lifter
-

Pot Licker,[p]WOW, good job. In less than 5 minutes time WE HAVE A WINNER. My guess is that you did very well on the reasoning section of the SAT.[p]Above photograph shows the completed item. My thinkin' here is that other grid lifters work great for lifting a hot or grungy grate on or off, but where do you put the grate if you need to free up your hands. The 5" handle allows me to hang the grate from my side shelf or even the rail of my deck. the whole outfit is pretty balanced.[p]I'll send you an e-mail to get your shipping address.[p]~thirdeye~
