Yo. Wasabi Scott?
Yeah there are a few of us local cultists. TimM lives down the road, and shows up from time to time. MikeO lives just up the street, BluesNBBQ in College Park, Teslamania in Bethesda, and quite a few others in the area. Eggfest is in April...Cornfed pointed out the link to register. Should be a big blast. [p]I work at home, so if you ever wanna shoot by for a spell on a weekday for lunch, I am usually game for a brew and some socializin'. Email me when you feel like it,[p]Did some killer fat beef short ribs today on the geen monster. I love those little fat wonderful chunks of beef.[p]Good weekend to ya.

Yo JJ,
Supposedly we Virginians are southerners to, but being so close to DC it don't feel like it. Drive about an hour south or southwest (down in Tim M's area), and you really start feeling the south takin hold. I used to wonder why our relatives in Warrenton, Virginia had such a southern accent. When I was 9, I said "Mom, where are they from??". She said Warrenton. (a bit more than an hour from DC).[p]I'll be ready for one of those famous juleps.

Nature Boy,
Them juleps be coming with me. By the way what the hell is a chunk of chest? Dolly Parton on the EGG? hehe
-
You'd need a bigger cooker for that.
-
Nature Boy,
Would that be Sunny Side up?
-
JJ,
Well i think we need to have an eggfest in the South. How about Texas. We could show you some of the old South Texas Mesquite BBQ. I think I could talk my uncle into bringing his DOG group. That is for those northern people a DOG is a Dutch Oven Gathering. A real good way to add some calories to your diet. Remember, if cooking is your first hobby, then eating is probably your second.

Nature Boy,
Still waitng for that 8lb BUTT,it went in last night at 9 I figure it will cook till 4 this afternoon. Dome temp went down to 180 overnight ,But shes comming back to that magical number. themore I use the egg the more amazed i am with it. Iv never seen something so controlable, just the slightest adjustment of the wheel or slide can make all the DIFF in the world. IM totaly hooked and addicted to that silly looking thing that torments me through my back window
Look forward to seeing you and all the other LADIES on the forum in WAAAAAAALDORF.[p]
