beer can chicken

im confussed on beer can chicken.i have seen 3 different ways to cook. 1 cook at 225 for 3-3.5 hours. 2 cook at 325 for appox.45 min. 3 cook at 350 for appox.2 hours. thanks for any help

Cooking temp is not the problem.Use your tempeature probe in the meat and that will tell you when it is done.Chicken in the thigh will be 170.

325 degrees works for me until temp is 170 at breast, 190 at legs.
