Steak Night

Morning All:[p]After a busy day decided to fire up both eggs for some steaks on one and wok some butternut squash on the other. It has been raining most of the evening so the ODK is a little damp, but no problem for the Egg.[p]
[p]Coming up to temps to start. [p]Was at Kash 'N Karry and found two nice top sirloin steaks.[p]
[p]The one on the left has Ken Stone's Wicked Grin and the one on the right DP Raisin' the Steaks. These set out on the counter for about an hour soaking up the rubs.[p]I'm not one for heavy char so these went on at about 375 until an internal temp of 125to130. Just before taking off.[p]
[p]On the other Egg I had cubed a butternut squash, added some salt & pepper and a liberal dose of DP Shakin' the Tree plus a half cup of EVOO then into a hot wok. These took about the same amount of time as the steaks.[p]
[p]Added a salad (the much better half also sauteed some mushrooms for hers) and a nice bottle of red wine for a delightful dinner.[p]
[p]Even have plenty of steak left over for steak & eggs for breakfast tomorrow morning. Ah, the good life![p]Have a GREAT day!

Looks like you've got everything under control in spite of the rain. Just keep practicing. Never know when Spring Hen and I will show up looking for a handout. LOL[p]Spring "Going To Bed Hungry" Chicken

SSN686,[p]I don't know, Jay. Havin' kitty litter that close to food preparation gives me some concern.[p]Just kiddin'!!! [p]Looks like fabulous fare. Now I want squash for dinner.[p]Diana

Morning poqal:[p]I guess I need to take the labels off the old kitty litter buckets, since they are now used for lump storage (and do a wonderfull job). I try to separate by size when I open a new bag of lump. I have found that it takes just over two buckets per 20# bag of lump. [p]The squash was quite tasty. Definitely will do that one again.[p]Have a GREAT day!
