Wireless Remote Smoker Thermometer

Man I'm loving this Maverick ET-73 Wireless Remote Smoker Thermometer. I put two Boston butts on at 9:00 p.m. and am in the house watching my meat and egg temperatures. The internal temp of the butt is 65* as I write and the cooker temp at the grate level is 235*. It has an alarm to let me know if the cooking temperature gets too high or low, that I haven't learned to set yet, but I'll place it by my bed tonight, set the alarm about every 3 or 4 hours and look at the remote. This thing is a lazy-man's dream! P.S. I don't own any stock in the company.

Dude,
Fool with it a little and learn to set the high/low temp alarms. That way you only have to wake up if your temp is going out of the range you set. After that the next step to a good night's sleep is a Pitminder or Guru :evil:

Ronbo, last night while cooking the butts, I leaned over several times and checked the temps from my bedside table without the need to walk outside to the cooker to check it. Neat.
