I am trying to make J.J.'s rub and I am unable to find savory at the grocery store. Is there an alternative spice that I can use, or do I just delete it?

orio kid,[p] You should be able to find this in a spice section of a large grocery store.[p]Earl

    orio kid,
Savory is an essential ingredient to my rub and you can get it at the following URL

Earl,[p] If you type in the word ( savory ) using Lycos as the search engine, this will be the first site you find. I felt I had better explain how I found this site if you decide to go shopping through to pages. Hee Hee[p]Earl

orio kid, funny!, I`m doing the same thing, My wife went out and got all the ingredients for the rub.....the savory came from a LARGE grocery chain...
The only thing that she couldn`t get "ground" was the Rosemary, thats ok, I`ll grind it myself....
I`m gonna rub up my pork loin roast with it tomorrow.....[p]Roger!

  • The label on the bottle calls it Summer Savory. It should be available from any grocery store.
