We're roasting a duck tomorrow evening. The manual has a recipe for smoked duck, but I wondered whether people had tips on roasting one? Thanks -- km

    Ken Masner,
I have only done one, but it was worth doing. Cook it indirect in a v-rack over a drip pan, at 375 unitil Miss Polder screams 165-170 in the breast. I injected mine, and rubbed it under the skin. Others have done more ducks, and maybe they will chime in. [p]Happy Holidays

  • Bought BGE today first time use did a duck with applewood. Smoke/roast at 300 until meat therm. showed 184 in breast.Great. My lid does not close completely at the back due to the hinge holding off slightly. Should this be a problem?

    Englishman,
The duck sounds great! As far as the gap in the back, what do you mean by the "hinge holding off slightly"??? Is your band defective, or is it just a matter of adjusting it??[p]As far as a slight gap around the dome affecting your cooking, I wouldnt think you would notice any problem.[p]Happy holidays to you.
