wannabee question
im still looking for a way to get into some sort of ceramic cooker. the one thing thats a must would be pork butts and ribs. ive never even tasted brisket but after raeding these forums for the past few weeks id love to be able to do those. [p]whats the smallest version of the bigegg that could get those done without to much hassle.

Bugs,[p]A medium would be the smallest without too much hassle. It could be done on a small but it would be space limited and OEM limited.

EggRacer,[p]Sorry, but I respectfully disagree. You can easily do a nice butt, or even two if you're creative, in a small egg. Speaking from personal experience after taking the small on numerous camping trips, there's nothing like getting up before the sun rises and putting a butt on the cooker, letting it go all day long, and at the end of the day, enjoying some pulled pork.[p]The only limitation that a small would have would be with perhaps the Thanksgiving or Christmas turkey, or a full packer brisket, but it can handle anything up to about 10 lbs very easily.[p]Tonia

Bugs,[p]Hey Bugs..I don't know where you live but there are several egg fest going on...at some you can get a "demo" egg...at a lower price..[p]Just a thought.

QBabe,[p]
so what about added charcoal. would you have to do that ofetn, or is it big enough to hold enough?[p]donnie

Bugs,[p]I can get 16 hours on one load of lump in the small. No need to add any.[p]Tonia

QBabe,
Well that pegs it. I'm going to do a butt on the small and give the large a rest. Most of mine finish in 15 to 17 hours on the large and this is one of many posts saying the small can go for a lond period.[p]Thanks for the inspiration!

QBabe,[p]we may have something i can afford now.[p]thanks
