Pork steak
Having trouble with just plain old everyday pork steak. Hate to admit it but it's the one thing my old Weber did better. Tried cooking at 300 and 225 but still can't get it right. It doesn't have that great taste and seems to get too done no matter what I do. I'm considering cranking up the heat (over 500), leaving it on for about 5 minutes, then shutting it down. Don't like any rubs, dips or marinades on it, just good old fashioned meat! Anyone have any thoughts? Happy Thanksgiving!

Bruce,
Try grilling it until done and don't do any shutdown (dwell) with it in the Egg, just remove it when its done and then close up the Egg. The dwelling works best on thicker cuts where more time is needed but not more searing is needed. [p]Tim

Thanks. Maybe that will help.[p]Bruce[p]
