    <p />paw,
Call BGE after the holidays. They can send you one of answer the questions. You can also replace the grate with something else. Many of us use a cast iron trivett and others use expanded metal mesh. I use one in both both my Eggs. The trivet can be found at many hardware stores that sell cast iron stuff. Its a 7" trivet. A cast iron front drain cover is ok too I am told. It's not important that it fit snug and a little slop is good. The added airflow is the main reason we go to this method, you will notice the fires getting up to temp quicker.[p]Tim
