Frozen turkey breast and brining

I just bought a frozen 7 1/2# turkey breast and want to smoke it on Sunday. Would it serve me right to thaw it in a brining bath rather than just regular water? Do I have time to get adequate effect from the salt?[p]Thanks, Stuart
