Will the new screen on bottom vent prevent pulling ash out?

Hey Guys,[p]I was just reading about the screen on the bottom vent door, and was wondering about cleaning the ash out from the bottom. Once you put the screen on, I would assume you have to remove the firebox in order to clean ash out. Is this correct?[p]Thanks,
