So much could and should be said about Eggtoberfest 2000, but to keep things simple, I will keep my words to a minimum![p]First and foremost, a HUGE THANKS to Ed, Brenda and ALL of the BGE staff people. The hard work made for the biggest and best BGE event ever … and BIG it was. [p]Imagine, 75 degree, sunny skies, and 25 to 30 eggs all going at once! Ribs, chicken, turkey, casserole, sausage, corn, lamb, more ribs, salmon, corned beef, baked beans, pheasant, bananas balinese, pineapple upside-down cake, more chicken, fajitas, Nan (Indian bread), shrimp, biscuits, and I think that was just in the morning! There was SOOOO MUCH food … I mean GOOOOOD food; I think we probably could have fed twice as many people![p]And speaking about the people, they were all great too! Old friends and new ones, someone described it as “a big family reunion, without the fighting”! Well, I’m proud to be a part of a big and happy family.[p]Thanks to all![p]And for those who could not make this year’s Eggtoberfest, I believe there will be much more to come!

    Smokey,
I'd really have LOVED to have been there, it was hosted a mere stone throw from where I grew up. Perhaps next year, I'll fly over and drag my dad over there. You folks are awesome and for some reason, there's not the excitement for good cookin' here in Bakersfield.[p]Ken
