Can I use old lump?

I have used my BGE for more than three years now and I even had two large eggs in my custom built table at one time. I have competed at many KCBS competitions and did some small catering events last year, but even after all of that I have never tried to use my old lump charcoal that got wet. I live in Indianapolis now after 10 years in Kansas City and this spring has rained so much that it has somehow affected my BBQ schedule!!! I am hard core all the way when it comes to my BBQ and my egg. In fact my wife likes to bring out the pictures of me out on the deck in a Kansas City snow storm while the temps were well below zero! She loves to make fun of me, although my BBQ tends to make her quiet down except for the occational mmmmmm. Anyway, can you reuse lump charcoal that has been totally wet before? Any experiences would be helpful.
