BGE and Spring in South Holland

Driving thru Leerdam, South Holland, last Wednesday we screeched to a halt when we saw the BGE banner above a shop![p]Of course, we stopped in and had a chat with the local dealer. Nice people! [p][p]BGEinLeerdam.jpg[p][p]I was surprised to see the thread about BGE in Europe two days ago here on the Forum, on the same day we were visiting with the Dutch retailer. We asked about an Eggfest in the Netherlands, thinking it might be an excuse for us to return in the future. But at nearly 1300 euros for a Large, BGEs aren't exactly jumping off the shelves, and I got the impression they needed to sell a few more before they will have a quorum.[p]Some of my wife's relatives that we visited will be staying with us in June and I will be cookin' up a storm for them. Maybe we can send them back as new converts to the cult of the Egg![p]We had Keukenhof Gardens almost to ourselves early Tuesday morning, and as you can see, Spring came late but beautifully to the Netherlands this year.[p][p]Keukenhof.jpg[p][p]Having been without an Egged meal for over a week, we are in withdrawl. I'll be heading to the butcher this morning for a slab or three of ribs! [p]Y'all have a happy day![p]Dag![p]DD
