Firebrick question/newbie

Unknown
edited November -0001 in EggHead Forum
We are new at this. Just got our egg yesterday and successfully finished not one but two beer can chickens! They were great and it was easy to do. The temperature control on the egg was so easy. I was used to the "gassers" and this was so much easier.

My question is that in perusing the archives, there was something said about the use of firebricks somehow affecting our health because of what the bricks are made of. I found the bricks at the US Stove site, but there is no mention of use in a grill. I figured I could probably pick some up at Home Depot, but again do not know if they are appropriate for use with food. Any thoughts would be appreciated.[p]Eggheadgator, Bradenton, Florida
