RV transport rack...

I want to build a hitch mount rack to carry two large BGEs on the back of my motorhome. I've heard talk of this being done before, but have not seen any pics. Anybody got any pics or ideas on the subject? TIA.

Madhatter,Green Egg Dan carries two on a regular cargo carrier in the reciever hitch on his rv. He straps them down with ratchet straps. He sometimes cooks with them setting on the carrier. Someone in the Mobile Al. area has built a carrier that swings out on an arm so you can get into the back of your vehicle. He takes his to work about once a week and cooks. It is a great set up. Also saw one built out of an old dog box. It had ajustable legs with wheels so you could roll it out the hitch and relocate it. Someone on the BBQ Forum was using a carrier made to haul the little three wheel scooters that also has a ramp that folds down to haul a Egg and another cooker.[p]Hope this helps or gives you some ideas,

the swing out one looks the most practical, but its the most expensive

Madhatter,[p]Not sure if this would apply to your cause, but this is a picture of a couple of Eggs that Country Singer Tim McGraw uses on his tour bus during his concert tours. He's c build customized hard cases to fit down over them for transit. I always thought this was a good idea.[p]This may be a way to keep them from being exposed on the back of the RV while in tow. I can't even remember where I got this picture, probably this board.[p]
