PIZZA QUESTION

Since there is no Pizza stone for the Large, has any one cooked a fresh pizza on an inverted plate setter? Seems like it is made from the same material. Would love to do real brick oven style on my Large.
Thanks,
Jack

jackbythesea,[p]There are plenty of stones out there for the large. Just when you find it make sure you preheat it prior to going on the egg.

jackbythesea,[p]BGE makes a 14" for the large and a 12" for the medium, just not one for the small.[p]~thirdeye~

jackbythesea,
i just bought a stone at my local Walmart. It serves the purpose. I place that on top of my platesetter with feet down at a temp. of 500*-600*. TNW has some great hints and tips on pizza.[p]wobbly pops to ya,[p]chris

jackbythesea, buy a kiln shelf from your local ceramics distributor or retailer. They're good for over 2000°, are available in different diameters, and are inexpensive.

jackbythesea,
You can certainly use the 14" stone from BGE in the large. The question is if it is large enough to do what you want to do. I use a 16" stone in the large to do pizza because when I do, I make 14" pies.[p]TNW
