FLA EggFest....What A Blast!

Heading up to Ocala from Ft. Pierce was worth the drive to attend our first EggFest! Hat's off to Q-Babe and her entire organizational crew! This shindig was well-planned and the location and the weather just couldn't have been any better! Hats off to folks that came in from far away points like Texas and Virginia! The food was great and the camaraderie was just as good![p]Had a great time with Barry, his wife Heather and their friends that came along from the Sarasota area. Meeting MollyShark was great! Hope to see her down our way next year for the South Beach Wine & Food Festival! If you haven't been to that and are a bona-fide 'foodie' it's a can't miss event! Just drinking all the Moet & Chandon you can and eating goodies from the best chefs makes the $125 ticket reasonable![p]Had a very enlightening chat with BobbyQ and also enjoyed the brief time I was able to spend with Egret.....He's got a great heart and he's a pretty danged good Egg'r too! The nice lady (whose name escapes me)that was creating all the really cool desserts on her egg also did an unbelievable job![p]This was a GREAT time and my wife Karen was glad that she came with me! She loved the incredible "goodie bag" that we received with our registration (and I did too!).[p]Great job!!![p]Ed McLean....aka 'eddiemac'[p]PS....The Spatchcock Chicken that I cooked on Sunday didn't suck!! (lol!)

eddiemac,[p]It was great to finally put a face to the name and to meet both you and Karen. If I'm not mistaken, the nice lady that did all the desserts HAD to have been Wendy Denney. She did a banana split dessert, and an baked apple dessert and both were outstanding![p]I'll email her to try and get the recipes to include in the cookbook from the 'Fest that Egret is working on. She doesn't post much, but she's and her family have been coming to our 'Fest from the very beginning and haven't missed a year yet...[p]Hope you'll be able to make it next year![p]Tonia
