I plan to put 4 butts on this afternoon I ordered guru I hope this works. I hope it is as good as others say it is. My only concern is ,there are 4 eight lbs. butts and I will have to double stack them ,I am concerned about how high the top two will be in the dome ,with the temp probe and the dome top its self.If any one is not to busy email me back and I will give you a call. We live in charlotte nc
Thanks for the help
Jerome

    Jerome,
i usually do my butts up on a raised grid, maybe sitting 6 inches higher than the grid.[p]just keep the dome thermometer from poking into them.[p]if they do interfere, take the clip off the back of the thermometer, remove both, put the clip on the thermometer, and then insert it in the dome. it'll keep it from poking too far into the dome, and it'll keep you from forgetting where you put the clip.[p]lotta folks make a big issue of dome vs grid temps.
with your butts up on the raised grid, or high in the dome, your dome temp IS your cook temp.
