dust here and dust there

My last two bags of lump purhased at the same time from True Value have been small chunks and MUCH dust. After seeing the mess I was making in the garage I made a simple box out of scrap wood and nailed a piece of 1/2 hardware cloth on the bottom. Taking a little time to dump the bag thru the shifter out in the yard has cleaned up my act considerably, let alone my nose and cars!

one feral kat,[p]If you have the storage space, a good method for obtaining lump that has not been handled by the American Touristor gorilla is to order in quantities. I order 10 (40lb) bags at a time and have them call me when they arrive.[p]The bags are always loaded directly from the shipping pallet. At Eggtoberfest99' people commented on how large the pieces of BGE lump were - these are equal in size. I actually have to break a few of them (honest!).[p]It is also a good time to stock up for the winter cooking season.[p]Spin[p]
  • Spin, regarding stocking up for the winter I figured the Webber cubes would be difficult to find so a couple weeks ago I had Lowes order me a case. There was no price break, but at least I'm guaranteed 288 fires which clearly will get me to next spring...I think ^oo^~
