My wife and I want to get a new food processor as the one we have is old. While it still works it just doesn't have the power or the capacity to kneed dough. We are looking at the Cuisinart DLC-2011BCN. Anyone have any better sugesstions or is this a good one to get. [p]On another note my large egg is one year old today. Since then I have the egg to thank for coming in contact with all the forum members. A really great hobby that has caused a gigantic hole in my wallet, buying gurus, another egg (small), more food then I would normally make or eat and all sorts of gadgets, woods, lump coal and supplies. My neighbors constantly looking over the fence asking what's for dinner. My fear of eating out because it tastes so much better at home. I would also like too thank the forum members and my egg for the diet that I am now on (South Beach) for all the great recipes that make such great food thus causing all the pounds. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. EGG!!!!!

    Retired RailRoader,
if'n its within the budget, get yourself a Robot Coupe. This machine will do anything except wash the pots and pans. Here is the unit I use.

  • Retired RailRoader,[p]I have a Cuisinart, but I'm not sure the model number. It was a wedding gift 20 years ago. It was not the biggest one avail at the time. [p]I really love it. I use it almost daily, sometimes more than once a day. I often have it filled to capacity.[p]Gwen
  • Retired RailRoader,[p]I have to throw in a vote for Kitchen Aid. I like the simplicity of the design. We had a beat up old one that worked great but lost it in the flood. We replaced it with a newer model that is a bit more complicated and hence I do not like it quite as much. But I still think it is a good value.
