Morning All:[p]It was only my much better half and I watching the game yesterday and she wanted some ABTs to go with the chicken thighs, also raw veggies for munching. I was only able to find 16 jalapenos (split to make 32 ABTs), but didn't have much available in the way of filling meat (no stored PP). We did pick up some shrimp and had some sandwich ham that filled all but 4 of the peppers. SO, those for the remaining 4 peppers I put a couple of pieces of yellow squash in one, zuccini in one, mushrooms in one and broccoli in the other. She said they turned our really well (not something I wanted to try). I guess a veggie ABT (except for the bacon slice), is better than no ABT at all! I also mix some rub with the cream cheese for the ABTs, typically about 2 tablespoons to about a quarter tub of cream cheese. Yesterday the rubs used were Bluesmoke's Gilded Splinters in some, his Witchy Red in others and Dizzy Pig's Shakin the Tree in the rest. [p]Below are the chicken thighs and a couple of turkey legs about half way through the cook.[p]P2050049.jpg[p]I also bought some of the outdoor lights mentioned on the forum a couple a weeks ago and it worked real well for having more light right at the egg than my present setup.[p]P2050051.jpg[p]I was able to direct the light right on the egg grill, much better light than before. Now to get the outdoor kitchen started and place them in the right spot for lighting.[p]Have a GREAT day!
