last evening we celebrated alyce's birthday at the "texas road house" - we all ordered ribs - during the meal the manager came by and ask if we were enjoying the ribs - son-in-law said they were almsot the best ribs he had ever eaten - he proceeds to describe the green egg - and after a bit of conversation - bets were made and business cards exchanged - i sat there in silence as he invited the manager and his wife to MY house to cook the BEST ribs for them - more about this later

Mr. Toad,
Well, he must love your ribs! I guess it's true what's been said about the BGE...I know it attracts mother-in-laws, but it must also be a son-in-law lure as well!
Great story!

At least he was honest about the whole thing! It might have upset the manager's "apple cart", but just think how he's gona feel when the BGE & your ribs dump him on his kaboozle! Maybe, just maybe he'll see da light![p]Have a good one![p]Dr. Chicken

When Mr. Toad speaks, I gotta pay me respects...Thats great, and I am positive your gonna have a converted guest when they leave.
Just got my e.mail subscription from Cooks Wares, and so help me..they are talking about making ribs with a pressure cooker to start with, then grilling em..Ooooooh..not nice! Might be good to some folks..but gimme those wood smoked ribs anyday. Slow and easy!
