Looking for low, slow and smoky baby back rib method.
Hey from Durango CO. After some great chops and an awsome new york strip roast I want to try some baby back ribs for my third time out. I'm looking for a low temp long cook, trying to get lots of smoke flavor, rather than a lot of rub and marinade flavor. I've got some Famous Dave's BBQ sauce. Would appreaciate some start to finish help. Thanks.

buddyvs, You may see 10 differnt way to do the ribs. I do mine this way, Once the ribs are trimmed and rubbed & prep'd, and the Egg is stable at 250 dome with a plate setter for indirect, I put the ribs in a rib rack and let them go for about 3-4 hours, thats about 3 full racks at one time, will will then go to a direct method and sauce the grill the ribs.

tach18k, I only put in enough wood chunks, (maple, cherry, apple) for about 1 hour of good smoke, more than that wil bitter the meat

buddyvs,
This is the 3/1/1.5 method that many of us use. It delivers terrific ribs.[p]Brian

BrianP,
I agree with this method. Its the one I use to rave reviews. My sauce is 1 cup Sonny's BBQ Sauce mixed with 1/4 cup grape jelly and about 3 tablespoons of burbon (I use Maker's Mark).
