Morning All:[p]I want to echo the comments in the posts below by Spring Chicken & Mollyshark, the Fredericksburg cook was a BLAST! Well worth the trip from Florida to participate and get to meet some of the Texas Egglaws! Lawn Ranger did a fantastic job hosting this class event! Not only did he have us eggors providing the food, but there was a great German OmPah (spelling?) Band that played some great music. I'm not sure how many people were part of his group (ULMA), but I would guess about 120 to 130 attendees were there. [p]The eggors included:[p]Lawn Ranger -- organizor, not cooking.
1shot1kill (Mike's son) -- pork tenderloin medallions
Spring Chicken & Spring Hen -- ABTs, beef kabobs, Teriaki chicken skewers, smoked sausage
Popsicle & Mrs. Popsicle -- venison sausage (delishious), shrimp skewers
Grillmeister -- honey/maple salmon, pulled pork
Mollyshark -- fruit kabobs
Sandbagger -- wokked shrimp, scallops, tri-tip
SSN686 & Mrs. SSN686-- pork tenderloins (various rubs), grilled pineapple (soaked in dark rum then sprinkled with vanilla sugar & coconut)[p]I think that covers everyone's cooks.[p]I didn't get very many photos as I was too busy cooking and assisting the others, but below are a few.[p]Here are Mollyshark & Grillmeister (back of Popsicle on the left) discussing what's next.[p]P1170084.jpg[p]Spring Chicken & Spring Hen (back of Popsicle again on the left) working on one of the many items they prepared.[p]P1170085.jpg[p]Sandbagger's scallops just about to come off the egg. Be sure to ask Mollyshark how good these were!!![p]P1170095.jpg[p]Just one of the three filets of salmon that Grillmeister did. One of the best comments of the evening was just after he took this load of salmon off the egg and started to the kitchen to cut it into bite size pieces someone in the crowd of people by the door said "Hey, where are you going with that!"[p]P1170096.jpg[p]I know all of the eggors had a great time helping Mike with this event and based on the comments (& food disappearing so quickly) I'm pretty sure the conference attendees enjoyed the evening also. It didn't take long for the attendees to figure out that standing just outside the kitchen was the best place to get the first samples.[p]If Mike does this again next year, I would recommend getting in on it as it was a very enjoyable event.[p]Have a GREAT day!
