<p />Well after my failure with the original starter I regrouped and started again. This time I left the starter go for only 2 days before I went on the your Part 3. All went well from that point on and it was Sourdough biskets for breakfest today. Thanks again Old Dave for all the help and information.[p]John[p]

    Retired RailRoader,
Look great. How did they taste?
    Highball the gate hon!

  • Retired RailRoader,
Looking good there RRR! I've been following both of y' alls progress on the sour dough project. So tell me, how do they taste? Is it a softer version of sour dough bread or what?

  • Jose' and Dr_Redwine,
The biskets were great. I thought the taste was very good for the first time out but best of all Mrs. RailRoader and my son also thought they were very good. It was definitely worth the trip it took to make them as I know what I did wrong and what I need to do next time to improve them.

  • John,[p]The biscuits really look good. Glad you hung in there and got it figured out. I plan to make some French bread in a few days with the mother and will do it by hand to make it easier for anyone that wants to follow along.[p]Dave
