did up a pot of chili for the football games yesterday. .. nothing fancy. .. just ground beef with diced up bell peppers, a jalopeno, onion ... .sauted that up with some chili powder and crushed red peppers, and for a change - cause i saw the jar sitting there, a couple of heaping tablespoons of dizzy pig cowlick. .. . once the meat was browned and the peppers/onions soft, added a couple of cans of crushed tomatoes, a can of tomato paste, and a couple of cans of red beans (sorry you texans, i like beans in my chili) .some more chili powder... then into a 325 degree egg for about 3 hours. .. .[p]good batch of chili. ..my family doesn't like it too spicey with things like hot chili peppers, and the cowlick added a nice peppery taste with all the heat. . .. .[p]ahhh, another good use for the cowlick. ...thanks chris!!!
