What to make for Sundays Party
One Sunday/Saturday we put the BGE to the test. The entire staff have been invited to the house for a Party. So the big question is what to make. I was planning on Pulled Pork and something else. The question is what else... brisket, chicken wings???[p]The objective is to get everything out so that it is a close to the appropriate serving time, as possible, and at least have some selection. Ideally, it would be nice to have some poultry but not absolutely necessary.[p]The pulled pork will take 24hrs. Poultry will take alot less. Any thoughts

egg6000,
How big is the entire staff???
Brisket is my favorite, but same dilemma as pulled pork. Long cookin times.
Are you just working with one egg???[p]Wings take a lot of flipping, and don't have a lot of meat.
What about several big ol racks of spare ribs?? Pork tenderloins go a long way and cook quickly.[p]HTH

Nature Boy,
Good point. I am counting on at least 20 could be 30 plus.[p]One egg only[p]I don't mind the long cook times and was thinking maybe I could do a brisket and a pulled pork, simultaneously.

egg6000,
It is hard enough entertaining for that many people. I would just do one dish REAL good.
Cook 3 pork butts and be done with it. Some good fresh cole slaw, and a good Q sauce....some plain white rolls.
Maybe some grilled zucchini halves while the pork rests. Potato salad. You are in bizness.
Cook weight is maybe half of raw weight. Figure 1 pound raw weight per person. If I am recollectin' correctly, here is a shot of three 8 pound butts I cooked for 14 guys. We ate about 2 of them.[p]People will be happy......everyone.

egg6000,[p]Try to have the pork come off with about 3 hrs to spare and keep warm in cooler. You could do beer butt chickens, TriTips, kabobs, turkey wings, grilled shrimp, ect.[p]ashley

egg6000,[p]Muzzy's stuffed jalapenos are pretty good as a appetizer.[p]ashley

egg6000,
Do the pulled pork a day ahead. Store in plastic bags and then nuke it the day of the party. No one will be able to tell that you did not just take it of the EGG. This way you can have both PP and brisket.

egg6000,[p]ChefRD chicken wings with hot BBQ sauce is a favorite of mine. Easy to do, cooks in 1 hr and provides wonderful deck activity while the party is going on. The PP you cook and prepare before the guests get there, the wings you do with them there. Enjoy[p]Tim

egg6000,[p]Prime rib is a winner that is easy to prepare. You can bake potatoes and vadalia onions along with it. Bambi's bananas balinese is a great desert.[p]Best of luck,
