T-Rex advice sought

Although I've done ribs, chicken, turkey, pork butt, etc, I've never actually "grilled" on my bge. I'd like to try the T-rex method on a couple of tbones tomorrow, but they are only about an inch thick. Could one of you experts give me some advice on how to T-rex thin steaks like that? It will be on a small BGE if that matters,
