My First Frozen Egg

Well, I have a couple of NY strips to grill it is 20 degrees and rain changed to snow today (wisconsin). My egg is froze up real good. There is no way to open the cover and I had to torch the lower draft door just to get it open. I put in a couple of fire starters under the fire box and hope they will get my lump started.
I don't think I will be doing the Trex method tonight. Can some one help me with the the timing for a sear then close vents and finish cook process for medium rare 1 1\2" thick NY strip steaks?.
