Wow, what a day. Needed to have Spare ribs, but not a whole lot of time. Went for JJ's direct ribs and yeow what a great meal. [p]Started by pulling the membrane...that turned out to be easier than I thought. Then sprinkled with a rub I picked up in Texas about 15 years ago. The last 45 minutes I added a home made BBQ sauce that goes together like this:
2 8 oz cans of tomatow sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon celery seed[p]Heat until sugar melts....its not bad at all![p]Then on the egg @ 220, turn every 45 minutes just like JJ says. [p]They were wonderful![p]Thank you Forum....in this case, a special thanks to JJ.[p]:-) CaptainBBQ
