Ihave 4 butts on for 18 hrs so far in last 3 hrs temp spicked to 305 trying to bring it down with out cutting off all air meat temp at 170 now any suggestions?

    Assuming you get your temp back down and stabilized, just keep on what your are doing. If time gets short, you can always pump the temp back up to 300 or so to get the butts to move along more quickly. But so far, so good, it sounds.
