How to Transport Eggs from Eggtoberfest?

A friend of mine and myself will be attending Eggtoberfest and picking up two BGE's. Does any one know if they come with packing material or the best way to transport them 500 miles in the back of a pickup safely?

Also do any of you know of places near Atlanta where pecan chunks or logs could be purchased?
