i wanted to use my medium BGE for indirect smoking, but without loosing space above the standard grid level. After a long time of scatching i came up with a bracket that is made out of stainless steel that can be dropped on the fire ring edge (total 4 brackets) and a pizza stone placed on top of the backets once the fire is hot enough (just like a platesetter. I have not tried it out yet to see what the heat will do to the shaped brackets- we'll see. :S

these brackets could be used on any size BGE as it hooks on the fire ring edge. The thicker the stainless steel used, the studier the bracket.
